Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack in western Germany and is one of Europe’s biggest rock festivals. It started in 1985 and is held in early June, at the same time as its twin festival Rock im Park in Nuremberg – most bands play both.
The line-up spans rock, metal, punk and alternative music, with many of the world’s biggest rock bands as headliners.
