Lowlands is one of the Netherlands’ biggest festivals, held in August in Biddinghuizen, about an hour from Amsterdam. The festival started in 1993 and mixes alternative rock, indie, pop, hip hop and electronic music.
Besides the music, Lowlands is known for its large offering of film, theatre, art and talks, making the festival more of a town than a concert site for three days.
