Coppelius are a German band from Berlin who play metal with drums, double bass, cello and clarinet. The band's name is taken from E.T.A. Hoffmann's short story "Der Sandmann", and the members perform in formal, old-fashioned attire inspired by the Victorian era, earning them the nickname steampunk band.
